Details
This oil painting is part of ‘the Golden Period’, (nothing to do with gold) a series created in the 1990’s and spanned the decade after graduating from University of Toronto. A foundations course in painting and drawing accelerated my technical skills and led to creation of work that is profound in depth, composition and colour. I have tried to recreate and replicate the intensity and energy of this era, like the wonder of a toddler who first learnt to walk it’s hard to go back to that moment of great discovery.
The works in this collection reflect my cultural hybridity, the east and west, with an aesthetic that is balanced and modern.
Drawing comes unframed.
